Volunteer in Jerusalem….

Being able to connect with the People of Israel does not come easy. Trust and relationships must be built and relationships take time, often years to develop. Relationship building is of extreme importance to CFI after 2000 years of mistrust and wrong doing as well as prideful and arrogant approaches to God’s Chosen People.

CFI is your link to Israel, helping you to connect with Jewish people and to be able to support and pray for them as a nation. We can make it all happen. We make it possible.

By joining CFI as a long-term Volunteer, you are associating with a pioneer ministry that began in December 1985 and with many years of experience in relating to the Jewish people. Bonding and relationship building, being genuine friends they can trust, are key to this ongoing work. If you have always wanted to express your heart of appreciation to the Jewish people, bless them as commanded in Genesis 12:3, praying for the “peace of Jerusalem”, getting involved in reaching communities and families with Christian love and understanding, CFI can help you.

As referenced by its name “Christian Friends”, CFI also provides Christians with numerous opportunities to be the expression of God’s love and kindness, building relationships and lasting friendships between Christians and Jews, in Israel, and around the world. John 15:16 reminds us that the Lord told His disciples that, “You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit, fruit that will remain....”

CFI desires to bring people together who are called, chosen and anointed for service, and whose energies, talents and abilities qualify them to join the work of CFI, in Israel and the nations. We are looking for individuals with a spirit of excellence committed to staying the course and finishing their assignment. Long and short-term volunteer opportunities are available in our Jerusalem locations, with Volunteer work in our outreach projects, as well as administrative, technical skills and media positions needed.

Long-term volunteer benefits include shared housing, monthly bus pass, a hot lunch during the work week, and basic medical insurance after 90 days. Long-term volunteers are responsible for costs of visas, roundtrip airfare, food, utilities, and personal services such as telephone, internet, cell phone, etc. Long-term commitments are for at least 24 months.

Volunteering at CFI is a rewarding, yet challenging assignment, but an assignment from God for His purposes to be fulfilled. However, while in Jerusalem there are many opportunities to experience varied cultures and languages, as Israelis and fellow volunteers come from “the nations”.  Volunteers will have the unique chance to visit the Land of Israel and experience the many sites in and around Jerusalem.

We invite you to consider joining CFI as a volunteer in Jerusalem, or as a volunteer at one of CFI’s International Representative Offices around the world. As a Christian friend of Israel, you play a vital role in pulling down the dividing walls between Christians and Jews wherever you live.
