Worshipping on Mount Arbel
Wall of Prayer by Linda McMurray
Israel is center stage for the plans of Almighty God for the world. It was to Israel that Messiah came in human flesh, was crucified and buried. It was in Israel that He was resurrected and ascended back to the Father. He will return to the Mount of Olives, set up His Kingdom, and reign from Israel. As a result, Israel is also a place of heightened, ongoing spiritual and physical warfare. The Word of God says, “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem – may those who love you be at peace!” (Psalms 122:6-7)
In response to that scripture, the Wall of Prayer has been established to provide spiritual protection for the land of Israel through prayer. We operate in four arenas:
-
“Israel Watch” is our worldwide intercessory network which through prayer battles spiritual forces that attempt to hinder the fulfillment of God’s promises for Israel.
-
Watchman and Wall of Prayer newsletters keep prayer teams abreast of urgent concerns and provide monthly prayer points.
-
Prayer Walks allow intercessors to meet with Israel residents and pray onsite with them for their needs.

I Traveled On My Knees
Today I took a journey to Israel across the seas.
I did not go by boat or plane. I traveled on my knees.
I saw so many people there with scars and wounds within,
But God told me that I should go—there was oil to pour from Him.
I replied, "Lord, I cannot go—there’s no plane flying across the seas."
He answered quickly, "Yes, you can—by traveling on your knees."
He said, "You pray—I'll meet their needs; you call, and I will hear.
Be concerned about their fate—and so many filled with fear."
And so I tried it, knelt in prayer, gave up some hours of ease,
I felt the Lord right by my side while traveling on my knees.
As I prayed on and saw them touched, and the sorely wounded healed,
I saw God's workers' strength renewed while laboring in the field.
I said, "Yes. Lord. I have a call—my desire Thy Will to please,
I can go and heed Thy call by traveling on my knees."
